Macedon Ranges council’s customer service centres in Gisborne and Kyneton have reopened, in line with the state government’s easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

The Gisborne and Kyneton customer service centres reopened their doors on Tuesday, January 5 and will remain open on weekdays between 10am-3pm.

The Romsey and Woodend customer service centres are also opened.

Restrictions in the centres still apply, including the number people inside the buildings, physical distancing and good hand hygiene

Room bookings are currently not available but will be considered as restrictions continue to ease.

The council encourages contactless payments, although cash is accepted and residents are urged to make appointments to access in-person support from council officers who deal with matters such as planning, building, rates and local laws.

An appointment can be scheduled in advance or the council’s customer service team can be contacted for assistance.

Macedon Ranges mayor Jennifer Anderson said the council was delighted to be able to welcome people back in the office.

“Now that COVID-19 restrictions are easing, we look forward to resuming some face-to-face services with our communities,” she said.
