COVID support for businesses

Macedon Ranges council is encouraging local businesses affected by COVID-19 to apply for vouchers of up to $100 for professional services.

As part of the council’s Business Continuity and Resilience Program funded through the council’s COVID Recovery Budget, up to two vouchers of up to $1000 each cab be applied for by businesses who wish to engage professional services including legal advice, accounting, marketing, strategy and business planning, grant writing or human resources.

The council’s planning and environment director Angela Hughes said the council was proud to support local businesses working to overcome the economic effect of COVID-19 and the restrictions placed upon their ability to trade during the pandemic.

“Council’s Business Continuity and resilience Program aims to assist businesses wishing to upskills, explore growth opportunities or build economic resilience for possible future trade interruptions,” she said.

“While some businesses have returned to business as usual operations, many are still feeling the effects of minimal trade. The inability to capitalise upon regular busy times like Christmas and summer school holidays has also had an impact.

“Apply now for a professional services voucher to assist your business.

To apply: mrsc.vic.gov.au/bcrp. Applications for vouchers will close when funds are exhausted or by 5pm on Friday, April 30.
