“Prime location” was one of the biggest drawcards for Saad Waqas when he decided to build a house in Diggers Rest’s Bloomdale estate.

Mr Waqas and his family became the 3000th residents to join the Bloomdale community last month.

Mr Wagas said it was during a visit to the area to inspect a nearby rental property that the family found the “perfect” block of land to purchase.

“When I passed through Bloomdale I was immediately drawn to it because it offered a fantastic location, convenience and lifestyle that other properties didn’t,” he said.

“For me, the most important requirement was location. I was looking for options that were within walking distance to train stations and easy access to the highway.

“Not only that, having parks and playgrounds within the community ticked that lifestyle requirement for us.”

The father of two said he and his wife wanted to live in a community that offered open space, a nearby primary school and an active and friendly community.

“We are eagerly waiting for construction to finish and to move in,” Mr Waqas said.

“We are very social people and we are so excited to meet new people, make new friends and play an active part in the community.

“The kids are also excited about joining Diggers Rest Primary School.”

AVID Property Group’s Victorian general manager Peter Vitas said he was thrilled to see Bloomdale growing into a well-established community.

“The beauty of Bloomdale is that it offers that perfect balance, between a modern and connected life and proximity to historic areas like the Macedon Ranges,” he said.

“To be welcoming the Waqas family .as the 3000th family … is such a significant milestone.”
