Macedon Ranges council is calling on locals to help revitalise the Woodend Community Centre.
Regional Development Victoria and the council have provided $100,000 to fund the business case and draft master plan development process to map out the site’s future use and access.
Consultation had begun earlier this year but was put on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The council’s planning and environment director Angela Hughes encouraged all residents to have their say on the community centre.
“We have had strong community involvement to date, which is terrific,” she said.
“This process is about taking the existing work, the results of this survey and best practice technical advice to produce an optimal business case and draft master plan that will help us decide on the centre’s future.
“We need to better understand these needs to produce viable plans for a modern, multi-purpose space that meets the needs of the local community and visitors to the region.”
Responses from surveys completed earlier this year have been retained and will contribute to the reopened consultation.
To provide your feedback and fill out a short survey, visit mrsc.gov.au/yoursay or phone 5422 0333.
Consultation closes on Friday, July 24.
