12.15pm UPDATE: Bulla Road is now open.

SES Sunbury spokesperson Jarrod Bell told Star Weekly that his unit was called to the scene at 8.47am this morning.

According to Mr Bell, a truck and a horse transport vehicle collided on the Bulla side of the Deep Creek Bridge.

“Thankfully, when we arrived at the scene we found no one trapped,” Mr Bell said

“No one has been significantly injured or is in need of medical attention. At the moment we’re just diverting traffic at the top of the hill.”

Ambulance Victoria, the Country Fire Authority and Victoria Police have also been called to the site following the incident.

Mr Bell said the vehicles involved in the incident aren’t operable and are currently awaiting a heavy haulage vehicle to be taken away.

Mr Bell said a B-Double truck travelling down Bulla-Diggers Rest Road also caused delays for 40 minutes when it became stuck earlier this morning, but that has since been cleared.

Bulla resident Trevor Dance said it was unfortunate to see another crash in Bulla.

“Something needs to be done as the number of trucks [on this road] is only going to increase,” he said.

“It’s as I have said so many times. A death trap waiting to happen.”
