Club Redstone kicks off

Construction has kicked off on a new $18 million resort-style club at Redstone estate in Sunbury.

The exclusive residents-only club was started with a sod-turning event with Sunbury MP Josh Bull and Villawood executives recently, with the new club expected to open in spring 2026.

Mr Bull took a tour of the area, and said that “this is incredible progress for our expanding town”.

“These exceptional facilities will provide even more opportunities for recreation, relaxation and enjoying quality time with family, friends and neighbours for many years to come – complementing our town’s already enviable infrastructure and surrounds,” he said.

The club will feature an undercover lap pool, outdoor plunge pool, splash deck for kids, a cafe, parents’ lounge overlooking a secure play area, function room and an independent childcare centre open to the public. It is expected to be a powerful community hub at the 2500-lot masterplanned Redstone.

Villawood chief executive officer Alan Miller said with people moving from all over into the estate, this gives residents a new meeting spot.

“We try to provide them with a melting pot of activity,” he said.

“Club Redstone will have a cafe and a parents’ lounge where they can bring their kids and meet up and still see what their kids are doing in the pool, the playground.

“For those who want a bit of fitness, we’ve got a fantastic gym. Plus, we have a function room where there will be lots of kids’ birthdays, twenty-firsts.”

The Redstone club is the 11th to be built by Villawood, with the feature becoming a key selling point.
