Sunbury is being invited to chill out at a new musical.

Be More Chill will take to the stage across five nights at Killara Primary School Theatre.

Director Nicole Gilbert said the Boilerhouse Theatre Company production followed the life of teenager Jeremy Heere.

“It’s a story of learning to be comfortable with himself … he’s an outcast,” she said. “He finds out about a ‘Squip’ [Super Quantum Intel Processor] which corrected his behaviour to be a cooler and more chill person.

“He comes to accept himself for who he is … it’s a touching subject that delves on topics like mental health.”

The musical will be performed between March 29-31 and April 5-6.
