Celebrate all things Australia Day on Tuesday in the Macedon Ranges.
Macedon Ranges council will mark the day with a ticketed Australia Day award and citizenship ceremony at the Old Market Shed, Kyneton Botanic Gardens from 10.30am on January 26.
Awards including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Achievement, Arts Ambassador and Community Event will be presented on the day.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, numbers at the ceremony will be capped at 100 people and attendees will need to reserve a ticket.
Those looking to dress up can celebrate the public holiday with the annual Australia Day Races at Kyneton Racecourse, 44 Campaspe Place, Kyneton. Gates open at 11am. Tickets: 1300 139 402.
An Australia Day breakfast will be held in Tylden from 8.30am at the Tylden Hall and Reserve, while a flag raising ceremony at John Aitken Reserve in Gisborne will begin at 9am, followed by a barbecue.
The Baynton Hall Committee will host a film night at the Baynton Hall from 5.30p, with a barbecue and a foot race.
Make a splash at Lancefield and Woodend outdoor pools and enjoy free entry with inflatable fun from 12.30-2.30pm. The pools’ opening hours are determined according to the Bureau of Meteorology temperature forecast for Kyneton.
