The Macedon Football Netball Club is calling on the community to assist with club upgrades.

The Macedon Cats Action Group has been launched to help ease the workload of the club’s committee members.

The action group’s main focus is to identify projects, upgrades and maintenance that need to be carried out at the club to accommodate for growth.

“The Macedon Cats Action Group has been formed … to relieve some of the financial stresses in running our clubs,” according to a club statement. “More importantly, it is a fantastic opportunity for us as a sporting community to come together … With the support and generosity from all our supporters [and] members, we will succeed in getting these tasks done.”

Most of the immediate tasks identified by the group are around the changerooms and the social rooms at Tony Clarke Reserve including replacing an oven and cooktop in the kitchen, building a new storage facility to replace a shipping container currently used for storage and building seating behind the home coach’s box.
