Cases kept below one thousand

COVID-19 cases in Victoria have dipped below 1000 for the second day in the row.

A total of 941 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours taking the state’s total number of active cases to 18,361.

Hume remained in the list of local government areas with the highest number of new cases with 91 recorded since yesterday. There are currently 1254 active cases in the municipality.

The Macedon Ranges recorded six cases in the past 24 hours, bring the total number of active cases to 289.

Eighty-two per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the Department of Health, from tomorrow, the vaccination rate of Victorians aged between 12 and 16 will be added to the daily COVID-19 updates.
