Carlsruhe service station robbed at gunpoint

Police are hunting an armed bandit who robbed a Carlsruhe service station at gunpoint last night.

A man wearing a balaclava and armed with a firearm entered the Cobb and Co Road station about 7.20pm and demanded cash from a staff member.

He was given a small amount of cash before fleeing in a vehicle.

Police said he was last seen travelling south on Cobb and Co Road towards Woodend.

The man has been described as being aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall and speaks with an Australian accent.

He was wearing a black balaclava, grey hoodie, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
