Women have joined together to help support a local cause.
Sunbury disability service provider Distinctive Options has been fundraising for neighbouring organisation CareWorks Sunbury – a not-for-profit crisis relief centre that provides care and support to those in need in the Sunbury and Macedon Ranges.
Distinctive Options young adults co-ordinator Melanie Mays said the Ladies Only group from the company focused on an initiative to provide health and sanitary products for women and families.
Ms Mays said with raffles, and with support from Chemist Warehouse and Bendigo Bank, Distinctive Options was able to raise $468 and collect enough products to create three larger hampers.
“The money will go towards care items for adults, children and babies like soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and pampering items,” Ms Mays said.
