You can help navigate the waters

Macedon Ranges residents are being invited to have their say on water-related issues and projects in the area.

Western Water is calling on community members to apply to be part of its face-to-face community engagement reference group.

Customer and community relations general manager Graham Holt said that the group would provide a direct link between Western Water’s board and its customers.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who has the ability to work collaboratively with others,” Mr Holt said.

“Preferably members will have established links to local community groups and will be interested in contributing ideas and taking part in discussions that range from healthy urban waterways to customer service and capital works.”

Mr Holt said members of previous groups had made a substantial contribution by providing feedback to Western Water and taking part in discussions about water-related issues important to our region.

He said new group members would be selected after formal interviews
and would be expected to comply with the organisation’s code of conduct.

Written expressions of interest close on Friday, September 28.
