St John Ambulance Sunbury (SJAS) has put the call out for volunteers on social media.
In a post, SJAS said it provided first aid services at community and major events and disasters across Hume, the Macedon Ranges and greater Victoria area.
“We’ll soon be running a new recruitment session and commencing First Responder training,” the post said.
“You don’t need any prior medical experience to join. Our local training team comprised of paramedics, nurses, midwives and experienced first responders will provide you with all the skills and support to enable you to graduate as a fully qualified first responder.
“This is also a fantastic opportunity for healthcare students or anyone looking to get into the healthcare field.
“Students have the opportunity to work with other volunteer health professionals of their profession and complete skills they have learnt at university under their supervision and guidance.”
