Buses to replace trains on Sunbury Line

Buses will replace trains on the Sunbury line from today, as work continues on the line upgrade.

Today, buses will replace trains between North Melbourne station and Sunshine station from 8.45pm until the last train.

On May 14, buses will replace trains between the same stations from 7pm until the last train on Sunday, May 16.

On May 17, buses will replace trains from 4am until the last train on Wednesday, May 19, between Sunshine station and Sunbury station.

The works are part of the $2.1 billion Sunbury line upgrade that includes track and platform upgrades to accommodate an extra 113,000 passengers weekly.

Face masks remain mandatory on all public transport.
