Beneath two large elm trees and a cloudless blue sky, Bulla and surrounding residents gathered at 8.30am on April 25 to commemorate Australian and New Zealand troops landing at Gallipoli.
The intimate service at the cenotaph on the corner of Green Street and Bulla road, saw a larger than average crowd of about 120 people assemble and lay wreaths, rosemary and flowers.
Local historian Ross Martin gave the commemorative address, and was joined by Hume Mayor Joseph Haweil and Jacksons Creek Ward Councillor Jack Medcraft at the service.
The CFA was also in attendance and laid a wreath alongside the Bulla Garden Club, who organised the event.
The service finished up with an assortment of Anzac biscuits, homemade treats, tea and coffee for people to enjoy while they mingled and remembered the service personnel who fought.
