The long-awaited Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct in New Gisborne has been funded in the state budget.

The state government has allocated $11.6 million, as part of its 2019-20 budget released last Monday.

The money will go towards construction of an indoor sports stadium, sport fields and tennis and netball courts.

More than $3 million will go to building new music rooms, upgraded oval and outdoor learning areas at New Gisborne Primary School.

Additional paramedics will be based at the Gisborne ambulance station and $718,000 will be spent on Romsey Ecotherapy Park.

The budget allocates $2.1 billion to help transform train services on the Sunbury line.

Eric Boardman Reserve in Sunbury will get a $2 million upgrade to its pavilion and Langama Park’s second pavilion will undergo a $1 million redevelopment.
