Police have found the second man who fled the Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre on Saturday night.
Twenty-two-year-old Shamus Touhy and 19-year-old Matthew Piscopo allegedly fled the facility on Mollison Street about 11.30pm, police said.
Following Mr Piscopo’s arrest at a residential address about 10.30am yesterday by the Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit, Mr Touhy was arrested at a Corio motel about 8.30pm last night, police said.
“He was taken into custody without incident and will face Geelong Magistrates Court tomorrow, before being returned to custody,” police said.
“He also faces additional charges of theft of motor vehicle, theft, escape lawful custody and criminal damage.”
Police said Mr Piscopo was taken into custody without incident and will face the Ballarat Magistrates Court today before being returned to custody.
According to police, he faces additional charges of escape lawful custody and criminal damage.
