The desire of a couple of long-time best buddies for bohemian market magic led to good vibes in Bulla.
On the third Sunday of every month – except for January, June and July – Green Street is abuzz with stalls, activities, food and music as the Good Vibrations Bohemian Bulla Market unfolds.
About 130 stalls feature the likes of card readers and healers, jewellery, clothing, workshops and free face painting. The variety of different food on offer is also a drawcard, with vendors of Lebanese, Chinese, vegan and Australian barbecue tucker hitting town for the occasion.
The market is run by Sunbury’s Kerri Forde and Attwood’s Donna Cuffe. The pair, who have been best friends since they were just 13, set up the market three years ago when they couldn’t find any bohemian markets to visit in Melbourne.
Ms Forde said the market had rapidly grown in popularity since it began and was increasingly bringing tourism to the area.
She said the Bulla Hill Railway had adapted its hours to coincide with the market.
The next Good Vibrations Bohemian Bulla Market will take place on Sunday, February 18, from 9am-3pm at 5 Green Street, Bulla.
