There’s something magical about the Macedon Ranges during autumn.
The COVID-19 pandemic might be stopping people from visiting the region to experience the beauty of its autumn leaves displays, but it hasn’t stopped Gisborne residents from sharing photos of their town in all its golden glory on social media.
Gisborne residents Kelly Taylor recently put a call on the Gisborne Community Facebook group urging locals to share their favourite autumn photos.
Her post attracted more than 30 photos from around town in just a few days.
Ms Taylor, who has lived in Gisborne for eight years, said she felt blessed to call the town home.
“I just love this time of year,” she said.
“I want to focus on the positives and want to remind everyone of how blessed we are. Also, as most [people] are home, they are not getting to see these beautiful trees if not going out for their essential walk, so I thought we could bring them online.”
