Arrests made following Sunbury shooting

Two people have been arrested in relation to the shooting of Sunbury kebab shop owner Yusuf Kucukbas early Saturday morning.

A 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was arrested near Bendigo and is assisting police with their inquiries.

A 30-year-old Long Gully woman was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally and reckless cause injury, conduct endangering life and prohibited person possessing and using firearm.

She is expected to appear at the Bendigo Magistrates Court later this afternoon.

Mr Kucukbas, 57, was shot as he got out of his vehicle at a Belleview Drive property about 1am Saturday.

A four-wheel-drive which had been seen in the area prior to the shooting has been located by police and is undergoing forensic testing.
