Anzac Day services in Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges

There are a range of Anzac Day dawn services, vigils and marches happening across Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges to commemorate the day.

The Sunbury Youth Vigil will be held at the Sunbury War memorial and Memorial Hall from 6pm, Sunday, April 24 to 6am, Monday, April 25.

Sunbury’s dawn service will be held at the Sunbury war memorial cenotaph at Memorial Hall on Stawell Street at 6am on Monday, April 25.

Sunbury RSL will also host an Anzac Day march starting at the Sunbury Post Office on Evans Street at 9.50am, travelling to the Sunbury War memorial cenotaph before winding up with official service conducted by the Sunbury RSL Sub-Branch at 10.30am.

The Bulla Garden Club Anzac Day memorial service is happening at 8.30am at the Bulla war memorial at 8.30am with morning tea provided.

In Gisborne, there will be a service at the cenotaph in Hamilton Street at 10.30am.

A dawn service will be held in Kyneton at 5.45am, followed by the traditional Gunfire Breakfast at the Kyneton RSL club rooms.

There will be an 8am service in Malmsbury at the Memorial Gardens.

The renowned Mt Macedon dawn service will be held at 6am on April 25, and bookings for bus services are essential – access to the dawn service is by bus only.

In Romsey there will be a wreath laying ceremony at the Romsey cenotaph, near Mitre 10, at 7.30am and a full service will be held at the Lancefield cenotaph at 8.15am for an 8.30am start.

There will be a march in Woodend starting at 11.15am from the top of High Street outside the Double Eight Chinese Restaurants to the RSL Hall. A commemorative service will begin at 11.30am.
