Ambulance response times have been released for October to December 2025, with response times improving in the Macedon Ranges.
According to Ambulance Victoria, paramedics responded to 738 code one call outs across the Macedon Ranges in the three months to December, with 58.7 per cent of calls responded to in the state target of under 15 minutes.
Response times averaged out to 16:53 minutes, down from the previous quarter of 17 minutes.
Hume ranked third across the state for code one call outs in the three months to 31 December, with paramedics responding to 4685 call outs.
The amount of calls responded to in the state target of under 15 minutes rose from the previous quarter, with 58.3 per cent making the target.
Ambulance Victoria data shows response times average out to 16:41 minutes in Hume, up from the previous quarter from 16:32 minutes.
In Sunbury, paramedics responded to 604 code one calls during the same period, up from the previous quarter of 592. It took paramedics 18:08 minutes on average to respond, up from 17:57 in July to September.
Ambulance Victoria acting executive director regional operations Michael Georgiou said there has been an ongoing high demand for critical emergency assistance.
“During the October to December quarter, we responded to 100,292 Code one emergencies – slightly down on the previous quarter but still the third highest on record,” Mr Georgiou said.
Mr Georgiou said the support of the community can also help save lives.
“If you need help but it’s not life-threatening, we encourage you to consider the most appropriate care for your situation,” Mr Georgiou said.
“AV paramedics and first responders are focused on reaching the sickest patients first — but every day, about one in five calls to Triple Zero (000) do not need an emergency ambulance response.
“Local Urgent Care Clinics, GPs and pharmacists are also great options.”
