Macedon Ranges residents shivered through a wintry weekend of icy temperatures, wet weather and a thick blanket of snow.
Flurries settled at about 650 metres in places around the Wombat State Forest, beginning on Saturday afternoon and picking up overnight.
Sunday’s cold blast brought another dumping of snow during the Riddell District Football Netball League junior grand finals at Romsey Park.
Top of the Range Tea Rooms went live on Facebook, with a snowcam showing families making the most of the snow.
The cold moist air that caused the rain, hail, sleet and snow was replaced by cold dry air early on Monday morning.
