Macedon Ranges locals are busily preparing for the region’s biggest collaborative wine and food festival.

More than 30 wineries are participating in this year’s Macedon Ranges Wine and Food Budburst Festival, which will take place on the weekend of Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19.

Renata Morello, who owns Lancefield’s Lyons Will Estate with her husband Oliver Rapson, said the couple was eagerly looking forward to the “awesome atmosphere” of the festival.

This year marks their third time as part of the festival, but the first time their winery will have the added feature of the recently completed cellar door.

Lyons Will Estate will offer tastings of various wines produced and bottled on-site.

A $20 festival pass will allow guests entry to the tastings at all participating wineries across Macedon Ranges.

Some venues will also offer entertainment. Buses have been organised to transport festival-goers between destinations.

Jess Butler, a contestant on this year’s season of

Masterchef, will host two dinners at Parkside Estate in Lancefield, showcasing local produce and wine from a menu she has designed.
