A retirement home for actresses will make for an unusual but entertaining setting for the latest production by The Mount Players.

Noel Coward’s comedy Waiting in the Wings focuses on a feud between two residents who once both loved the same man.

The play opens at Macedon’s Mountview Theatre this Friday.

Box office manager Cherry Servis says 18 people will appear on stage, with many more involved behind the scenes.

Established by a handful of theatrically-inclined families in 1972, The Mount Players has become the largest theatre company in the area with close to 150 members. Waiting in the Wings will run until December 5.
