Shrubs, pot plants, cacti and cut flowers, including some of central Victoria’s most exquisite daffodils, will be in full bloom at Kyneton Horticultural Society’s annual spring flower show.
Secretary Geradine Thomas (pictured) says floral art, and flowers grown by children, will also be displayed as part of the September 5-6 event.
‘‘The spring show is always our biggest for the year, especially because of the daffodils,’’ she says. ‘‘We have some of the top growers competing again.’’
Entries don’t close until the Thursday before the show, but Ms Thomas says people can expect to see as many as 300 exhibits.
The show is part of the Kyneton Daffodil Festival and is held at the Watts Pavilion, Kyneton showgrounds, 1-5pm, Saturday, September 5, and 10am-4.30pm on Sunday, September 6.
Entry is $4, with children admitted free. Details: 5422 7130
