Aaron hits the right note

At only nine years of age, Sunbury’s Aaron David is already a seasoned performer.

The singer, dancer and actor has appeared in musicals including Kinky Boots and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Now he’s about to grace the stage with Australian singer songwriter Tina Arena as part of the cast of Evita the Musical.

The youngster, who will be part of the children’s ensemble, said he was looking forward to performing alongside Arena.

“Yeah I’m very excited,” he said. “I love doing musicals and I like doing dancing and acting.”

He said his favourite was Kinky Boots because he got to tour around Australia.

Aaron’s mother Dianne David said the audition process went smoothly.

“Aaron has a talent agent, so she put him forward for an audition … he was successful to get the audition and then he just had to learn a song from the musical and … attend the day of auditions and sing the song,” Ms David said.

She said Aaron was not shy about performing on stage.

Evita the Musical will be at the Arts Centre Melbourne from December 5.
