Ignite the passion to learn

“At St Brigid’s, we are passionate about education,” begins principal Maree Morris, in describing the Catholic primary school in Gisborne she’s proud to lead.

Ms Morris says of the ‘small school with a big heart’; “We have high expectations for our students and teachers and pride ourselves on excellent teaching practices.”

“Our students share a vibrant school, one that’s high-achieving and offers a deep commitment from teachers who show dedication on all levels as they nurture life long learners.”

“As our vision statement says, we are all guided by the faith, strength and courage of St Brigid as we strive to ignite the passion to grow and learn.”

Ms Morris also says that St Brigid’s students are encouraged to explore concepts in engaging and creative ways.

“Our aim is to develop courageous, confident leaders, ready to explore and change the world, while achieving goals and having fun along the way.”

To counter pandemic restrictions, St Brigid’s has developed a virtual tour so families can get a feel for the school.
