Reading club

Join Yarra Plenty Regional Library’s summer reading club and get lost in a good book. Open to children aged 3-18, the club offers rewards for reading and runs until Thursday, January 31. The more you read, the more chances to win prizes.

Get into the festive spirit at the Whittlesea Carols by Candlelight on Friday, December 14, 7-10pm on the terrace lawns at the Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang. There will be performances by the Whittlesea Community Choir.

Summer at the showgrounds

Enjoy an evening at the Whittlesea Showgrounds on Thursday, December 20, while enjoying the variety of food from food trucks and a performance by Gary Eastwood. There will also be a market stall, classic car show, face-painting and a visit from Santa. At McPhees Road, Whittlesea, 4-11pm

Sing along to all your favourite Christmas carols at the Doreen Local Churches’ community carols on Sunday, December 16, at Collingrove Park, Hazel Glen Drive, from 5pm. There will also be face-painting, a jumping castle and a visit from Santa.
