On the right track
Riddells Creek Primary School pupils are among thousands of school children around the state on track and ready to participate in VicHealth’s Walk to School month in October.
Primary schools and pupils can sign up to track their achievements throughout the month at www.walktoschool.vic.gov.au.
Footy fun
Get the whole family down to Gisborne Aquatic Centre in their favourite footy team colours on Thursday for an afternoon of inflatable fun activities, games, handball competition, prizes and a barbecue at the Footy Fun Day. Festivities run from 1pm until 3pm.

Nature kids
Join local nature enthusiast Caitlin Griffiths to learn about the world of leaf litter and creatures living on the forest floor. Aimed at six to 10 year olds, this free one-hour workshop at Gisborne library on September 21, will include a book reading and some art using leaf litter. The workshop runs from 2pm-3pm.

Market to market
The Lancefield and districts farmers market is on this Saturday from 9am until 1pm at the centre plantation on High Street. The market features fruit and vegetables, preserves, poultry, meats and more.
Laugh it up
Australian provocateur Rod Quantock is up to his old tricks again, bringing his Boredom Protection Policy show to Kyneton town hall on October 7 at 7.30pm. The stand-up comedian will give contemporary politics and Australian society his unique perspective.

Art of healthy minds
Artists from Anglicare Victoria’s Mind and Care Connect will share their art to celebrate Mental Health Week. Paintings, mandalas, poetry, quotes and yarn crafts will be on display at Kyneton town hall October 11-13.
