Buddy Holly’s back

Buddy’s Back and he’s coming to Kyneton Town Hall on Friday, August 26. Scot Robin, star of the smash hit musical Buddy, performs Buddy Holly hit songs that will have you dancing in the aisles.

Battle it out

Battle of the Bands is on at the Kyneton town hall this Saturday, August 27, from 6pm onwards. Featuring Mosey. Entry is $10. Fully supervised with no pass-outs. This event is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free event.

Sunbury garden lovers

Sunbury Garden Club’s next meeting is on September 7 and guest speaker will be Geoff Crowhurst. It’s all happening at 7.30pm at Rainbow Court Hall, Timmins Street. Entry $3 includes supper. All welcome.

Market to market

Market on the Green is Sunbury’s best quarterly handmade and fresh produce market. It brings together the best artisans as well as handmade and home-grown produce. Get to Sunbury Village Green, Stawell Street, Sunbury this Saturday from 9am-2pm.

 

Immunisation time

Immunisation sessions at Gisborne, Kyneton and Woodend are on the first Thursday of the month, and at Riddells Creek and Romsey on the third Tuesday of the month. The next session is on September 1, 9.15-10.30am.

Step out against disease

Thousands of Victorians will head for the city centre in support of people living with Parkinson’s on Sunday. A Walk in the Park will start at 11am at Federation Square on August 28. Members of Lancefield and districts Parkinson’s Support Group will be among those strolling along the Yarra River for the event’s eighth year. A Walk in the Park is dedicated to improving the lives of more than 27,000 Victorians living with the disease.

Disco this Friday

Get to know your community police volunteers at this Friday night’s Bluelight disco at Sunbury Memorial Hall, 6-8pm. Gear up in footy colours. Entry is $7.
