Turnkey ready: 4 St Mellion Close, Sunbury, 3429

This one doesn’t just put on a fine show kerbside, but is also beautifully presented indoors.

The sense of light and space is immediately evident, with lots of large windows mostly dressed in floaty sheers and heavy tab drapes in grey – the key colour accent.

So it looks great, but how about the location? The house is in a safe, neighbourly court – a big plus for families.

It’s close to the essentials: Killara and St Anne’s primary schools are two and five minutes away respectively; Sunbury College is also five; Sunbury Square shopping precinct is eight; and Calder Freeway entry is four. And to cap it off, Blind Creek parkland’s bike and walking trail is on the doorstep.

Living zones include an open grey-carpeted lounge room, where a pair of picture windows is a real asset; and an expansive family-meals space with plenty of room for a 10-seater dining table.

The kitchen, with a stack of storage in charcoal laminate, has a stone-topped island bench for four, a cupboard pantry, ever-practical tiled splashbacks and stainless-steel appliances including dishwasher.

The spacious main bedroom, off the entry hall and opposite a carpeted open study (which could be closed off to become a fifth bedroom), has a walk-in robe and an en suite with a bowl-basin.

Three more fitted bedrooms share a rear hallway with the bright main bathroom, separate toilet, french-door linen closet and the laundry.

Sliding doors from the living hub reveal a covered deck which looks out to a garden area ready for planting, and an area currently all sand which is the spot to park trailer or caravan – with access via side gates.

The backyard on the block of about 905 square metres is all lawn and has plenty of space for kids and pets to run free.

Other inclusions are heating and cooling throughout, an alarm and an extended lock-up double garage.
