Equine excellence: 256 Gyro Close, Riddells Creek, 3431

A stunning, pristine property of about 45.70 hectares, Cloverfield Equestrian Centre encompasses a character-rich residence, peerless horse breeding and agistment infrastructure and about 14 hectares of bushland.

Horse facilities include 34 electric and Bayco-fenced and watered paddocks; three stallion yards; a foaling yard with stable; 12 watered stables plus a double with foal crush; stud preparation, feed and tack rooms; indoor competition-sized arena; a lit outdoor arena; various large sheds; and 26,500-litre water tank.

A kitchen, laundry, office and bathroom are included – and it all wraps around a pretty courtyard garden. Really, every skerrick of this place is special and a feast for the eyes.

The large Victorian-influenced residence, with verandah on three sides, was designed around a 33-metre central hallway, with corbelled arches and Baltic pine flooring.

Running down the eastern side are three bedrooms, a library with glass-doored bookcases (and a door to the verandah), the large laundry/hobby room, a two-way bathroom with claw-foot tub, and a powder room. Two of the bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, one with an en suite.

Down the western side are a lounge room with Jetmaster fireplace and french doors to a verandah; a bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en suite; a family room with wood heater and french doors to an expansive paved area; a casual meals room; the kitchen; and a formal dining room with doors to a large covered alfresco area.

The lovely country kitchen has a granite-topped island bench beneath a utensil rack, a Falcon 900mm cooking range, Victoriana splashback tiles, Baltic pine cabinetry and benchtops, and a walk-in pantry.

Gas-fired hydronic central heating, alarm and CCTV security are included.

On a slight rise, there’s a fenced inground saltwater pool and eight-person spa – gas and solar heated.

Other outdoor assets include two dams with pumps (one four megalitre); 7570-litre water tank; sprinkler system; town water; and double carport and garage.

Extensive driveways make getting around the property easy and the bushland area is wonderfully accessible for riding and exploring.

Riddells Creek is five minutes away.
