Riddells Creek tennis players will have the chance to get lessons and advice from some of the best coaches in Australia.
The Melbourne International Tennis School will make Riddells Creek Tennis Club its second home, to go along with its base at Maribyrnong College.
The club’s Andrew Nicoll said he was thrilled to be able to get top-line coaches out to Riddells Creek.
He said which coaches, and when they went to the club, would be decided on availability and demand but all would have worked across the country and internationally.,
The school is run by Michael Baroch, who was coached as a player by Australian tennis legend Tony Roche.
After giving up playing to focus on coaching, Baroch mentored Russian superstar Maria Sharapova and currently coaches Vietnam’s Davis Cup team.
The tennis club is holding an open day this Sunday, with several of the school’s coaches to be in attendance.
The day, which runs from 11am-2pm, includes a sausage sizzle, a jumping castle and exhibition tennis match.
