Council services hour changes

Hume council has announced the opening hours of its services and centres for the upcoming Christmas holiday period from 24 December to 1 January.

Customer Service Centres will be closed from 25 December through to 29 December and will then be closed again on 1 January.

On all other weekdays, opening hours will be 8am-5pm, except for 24 and 31 December, which will be 8am-3pm.

Leisure centres will be closed on Christmas Day.

There will be reduced hours on some other days.

On 24 and 26 December the leisure centres will be open between 8am-5pm, while 31 December they will be open between 5.30am-5pm.

New Year’s Day the centres will be open between 1-5pm.

The Resource Recovery Centres will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, while the Bolinda Road Resource Recovery Centre will close at midday on 24 December

They will be open as normal every other day. View locations and hours.

Bins will not be collected on Christmas or New Year’s Day your bin day, If your collection day is Thursday or Friday, it will be collected one day later than usual during these two weeks.

Hume libraries and youth centres will be closed on 25 and 26 December and New Year’s Day.

On all other days opening hours vary between libraries, while youth centres will be open between 8am-5pm on weekdays besides 24 and 31 December when they will close at 3pm.

Community centres will be closed from Christmas Day to 2 January.

On all other weekdays, opening hours will be 8am -5pm, except for 24 December which will be 8am-3pm.
