Macedon Ranges residents will be able to attend a food forum to explore how the community can build a resilient, healthy and fair food system in the ranges.
The forums will be held at the Romsey Mechanics Institute on April 30, from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and the Woodend Community Centre Hall on May 6, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Healthy Loddon Campaspe Coordinator Alicia O’Brien said the initiative is excited to bring together groups from across the Macedon Ranges to discuss food in the region.
“The Macedon Ranges Food Forum is a great opportunity to connect people from across the community involved in the food system,” she said.
“We’re inviting all parts of the community including businesses, schools, growers, community gardens, and interested residents to come together to help us build a resilient, healthy and fair food system in the region.
“Participants will be able to have their say and be involved in identifying current challenges, as well as opportunities to support the food system in the Macedon Ranges to flourish.”
RSVP’s are required by April 22. Details: rfry@mrsc.vic.gov.au
