Many Sunbury residents are without water this morning, following a burst water main in Macedon Street near the corner of Evans Street.
In a Facebook post Sunbury SES said they were called to the water main next to the Sunbury Square carpark at around 1am this morning.
Local crews used their pump to ensure that Sunbury Square was not entirely inundated, while SES worked to divert water and worked with Greater Western Water (GWW) to locate and isolate valves and control the burst, the statement said.
The SES said the main appears to be one of the primary supply lines for Sunbury and will probably affect many locals.
In its own statement on Facebook, GWW said crews are on site completing essential repair works.
GWW can be contacted for assistance on 13 44 99.
