There will be temporary lane closures and overnight works in Horne and Evans streets from March 26 to April 13.
Rail Projects Victoria announced the construction work will continue on the Gap Road Level Crossing Removal Project, with medium levels of noise and vibration to be expected.
Overnight construction on the project will take place from 7pm to 7am each night on March, 26, 28, 29, and April 6.
Daytime construction will take place from 7am to 6pm each night on March 31, April 6, 10 and 13.
Throughout the works there will be intermittent lane closures but traffic will be maintained, Rail Projects said.
The works will include installing and connecting new services under the rail bridge, non–destructive digging, cutting through asphalt and concrete, hauling cable through the service route and reinstating footpaths.
