Preparing students for a bright future

At Salesian College Sunbury, staff pride themselves on preparing students for the future.

Motivated by Salesian charism, staff provide quality education and promote the school values of Community, Learning, Excellence and Faith, both in the classroom and in everyday life. Staff and students are inspired by the example of Saint John Bosco (Don Bosco), the founder of the Salesians, who taught with ‘Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness’. In

In 2023, the college is proud to celebrate 100 years of Salesian presence in Australia.

An essential characteristic of Don Bosco’s approach was his passion for the formation of young people as both ‘Good Christians and Honest Citizens’. At Salesian College Sunbury staff are committed to perpetuating this vision, encouraging and empowering young people to strive in all aspects of life for the purpose of making a difference in the world.

Students are encouraged to have a voice in all aspects of their learning, and the college’s broad range of subjects allows them to be challenged and to open their minds to the potential in their future. Staff believe that, given the opportunity and right environment, every student can strive for success. The college recognises that each student is unique in their educational needs and academic abilities, and is committed to embracing innovative ways of teaching and learning to support the entire student population.

The passionate teachers work to challenge the norm and find reimagined approaches to teaching through technology, while exploring new ideas and concepts around wellbeing, motivation, and learning, to ensure that each student has the best opportunity to strive for excellence and to prepare for success in school and life.

The college is committed to providing an environment for young people that is equally a home that welcomes, a parish that evangelises, a school that prepares for life, and a playground where friends meet and enjoy themselves.

Why not hear from the students themselves? Visit the college website to book a space on one of the onsite, student-led tours where you will discover the college’s beautiful, unique campus, and see what sets it apart!
