Fatal collision in Kyneton

Police are investigating a two car collision in Kyneton from January that has turned fatal.

The crash occurred on January 14 at 4pm. Police alleged a vehicle fled from them at speed after they saw the car speeding on Edgecombe Road.

The vehicle then collided with another vehicle a short distance away.

The driver of the struck vehicle, a 75 year old Kyneton man, was taken to hospital in critical condition after the crash but died on Saturday, March 4.

The driver of the other vehicle has now had his charges upgraded to dangerous driving causing death.

A 38 year old Heidelberg West man has been remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court on March 9.

Police will also prepare a report for the coroner.
