Macedon Ranges residents have the opportunity to help plan the future of water in the region, invited by Greater Western Water (GWW) to share their views.
Residents were encouraged to contribute their knowledge and aspirations through the re-opened online survey, or by attending any of the five community pop-up events taking place from Saturday, December 3.
GWW strategy and partnerships general manager Kessia Thomson said ensuring the Macedon Ranges continue to thrive meant working closely with the community to prepare for some of the driest and wettest years ahead.
“Securing the future of water in the face of extreme climate conditions and a fast-growing population is a priority for us. It’s important we find a way forward on the challenges with those who understand and care about the region,” she said.
“It’s been fantastic to hear from some of the locals recently on what matters most to them when it comes to water. It’s reaffirmed the value of local knowledge and is why we’re encouraging even more people to join the conversation.”
