This Mental Health Week, running October 8 to 16, Goldfields Libraries invites you to talks with experienced psychologist Peter Quarry.
Quarry will explore questions about how you can make sense of your life, how to understand who you are and why you’re here.
In his book ‘If I Were You’, a part-memoir, part-self-help guide, Quarry deconstructs his own life as a formerly sex and drug addicted person from his current perspective as an internationally recognised psychologist PQ. He analyses his background with compassion as well as clinical objectivity.
By putting himself on his own couch, he aims to inspire people to reflect on their life journeys, and give them toolkit for confronting the curveballs life throws at them.
Goldfields Libraries programs and events coordinator Tammy Higgs said the workshops will be a great opportunity for people to come along and hear a world-class presenter share knowledge and wisdom.
“Peter is both entertaining and motivating, and will inspire positive reflections on living your best life,” Ms Higgs said.
Quarry will present at libraries across the region, including in Woodend on Friday, October 14, 11am to noon, and Gisborne on the same day, 2pm to 3pm.
All sessions are free, but bookings are required at www.goldfieldslibraries.com.
