Hume Business Awards nominations open

Nominations for the 2022 Hume Business Awards are closing soon, so get in before August 18.

The awards acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Hume businesses, including those in Sunbury, Bulla and Diggers Rest, highlighting the contributions they have made to the economy and the wider community.

Hume council said local businesses support the region by providing employment opportunities and delivering “exceptional products and services”.

Council invited employees and business owners to submit an application to be recognised under a range of categories.

To be eligible, businesses will be a registered business located within the municipality, a holder of a registered Australian Business Number, hold appropriate permits and licences, including but not limited to building, planning and health permits, and not be in breach of any state, territory or local government law or regulation.

Ineligible businesses include chain stores, franchisors or franchisees, charities that have a primary focus of fundraising or businesses that own or operate electronic gaming machines (EGM) or receive funding or in-kind support from EGM venues.

Applications close on Thursday, August 18, and late entries will not be considered. Finalists will be notified on Monday, September 19 and winners announced Wednesday, October 26.
