With energy costs soaring, Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas is reminding eligible concession card-holding residents to get onto the $250 power saving bonus before applications close on June 30.
Eligible residents include those receiving payments through the Pension Concession, JobSeeker, Austudy, Abstudy or Youth Allowance programs, or who hold a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.
“I’m encouraging all eligible concession card holders to apply before the June 30 deadline to receive the bonus and make sure they’re getting the best deal on their energy bill,” Ms Thomas said.
A government statement said the quickest way to apply for the bonus is through the Victorian Energy Compare website, or by calling 1800 000 832 for those who do not have access to a computer or internet.
To assist those who are yet to apply, Ms Thomas’ office will hold drop in sessions on Thursday, June 16 and Thursday, June 23 at 9 Goode Street, Gisborne – bring along the appropriate power bill and concession details.
