In the winter months, it’s quite delightful to rug up against the cold, pack a steaming thermos and a basket to fill to the brim with goodies at a local farmers market.
Markets across the Macedon Ranges are something special though – they bring visitors from near and far to ogle at the produce and wares, surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
There’s one happening every weekend too.
On the first Saturday of every month, the Woodend Farmers’ Market happens from 9am to 1pm on High Street.
The second Saturday of the month is for Kyneton Farmers’ Market, on Powlett Street and Yaldwyn West Street, 8.30am to 1pm.
Riddells Creek Farmers’ Market takes place on the third Saturday of every month, 9am to 1pm at 69-77 Main Road.
On the third Sunday of the month, head to the Malmsbury Village Farmers’ Market, 9am to 1pm at Malmsbury Village Green, Mollison Street.
Make your way to Lancefield Farmers’ Market on the fourth Saturday of the month at the Central Plantation of Lancefield, 9am to 1pm.
On the fifth Saturday of the month, enjoy the Macedon Village Farmers’ Market, held four times a year at Macedon Primary School, 9am to 1pm.
