The state government is inviting Victorians, like residents in Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges, to have their say to help shape the interim emissions reduction target for 2035.

Either by writing a submission or completing a survey online, and there’s even a survey for people under 25 years old to voice thoughts on the best ways to undertake climate action.

The consultation is part of the state government’s plan to halve emissions by 2030.

Energy, Environment and Climate Change minister Lily D’Ambrosio said Victoria was a leader when it came to fighting climate change.

“We were one of the first places in the world to legislate a net zero emissions target and we are the only state in Australia to set interim targets every five years,” Ms D’Ambrosio said.
