Police seeking information about Sunbury drive-by shootings

Police are seeking information following two drive-by shootings in Sunbury on Saturday, March 26 and Monday, March 28.

According to police, on March 26 at 1.15am, a loud gunshot was heard outside a house on Riddell Road and it is understood a vehicle, believed to be a white Ford Courier, was driving by.

Four occupants of the property were asleep when the incident occurred, and the front window of the house was smashed and the car left the scene, police said.

Another firearm incident occurred in the early hours of March 28 outside a property on Lalor Crescent and police attended the scene.

“It is believed unknown offenders discharged what appeared to be a shotgun at the side wall of the house about 2.20am,” police said.

“There were no injuries during either incident.

“The Fawkner Embona Taskforce are continuing to investigate.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
