Water warning issued for Trentham

Trentham residents have been warned not to drink tap water as extreme weather in the area has caused a burst water main.

Last night, following consultation with the Department of Health, Coliban Water released a statement that the Trentham Water Treatment Plant had been damaged and water may be unsafe for drinking.

An emergency relief centre supplying bottled water has been established at the Trentham Mechanics Institute at 66 High Street.
