Sunbury crash witness appeal

Kyneton police are seeking witnesses who may have seen a truck being run off the road at the intersection of Lancefield Road and Clark Court in Sunbury early on the morning of March 31.

Police allege a white 2019 Hino tilter tray truck was travelling south on Lancefield Road about 4.19am on March 31 when an unknown vehicle heading north crossed to the opposite side of the road and into the truck’s path.

The truck driver took evasive action and veered the truck into the chevron signs on the side of the road in order to avoid a collision with the vehicle.

The truck driver is receiving treatment for potential shards of glass in his right eye following the incident. The truck sustained damage to the windscreen and front right hand side of the cabin.

Any witnesses to the incident are being urged to contact Kyneton police station on 5421 2900 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
